by just going through these cases I got to learn and accept this that variations in food and lifestyle can really help in certain ways and slowly can get rid of these major problems as improvements in diet are better than to have steroids.
I have a similar issue(Ankylosing Spondylitis controlled with diet and exercise) but I am severely underweight.
Male - 32 years
Weight - 49kgs
I am underweight (always been) and losing weight since I have started focussing on my diet due to joint pains(at 23 years left SI joint, at 27 years right SI joint, at 30 hip joint, now at 32 years upper back).
Kidney beans, whey protein, chickpea, pulses, milk, banana, rice, potatoes, tofu, etc. always gave me flares.
Before diagnosis, I was able to increase my weight from 53kg to 58kg.
2009 to 2013(19 to 23 years old) - I was 48kgs
2013 to 2019(23 to 29 years old) - I was 53kgs
2020 to 2021(30 to 31 years old) - Somehow I was able to increase my weight to 58kgs.
2021(31 years old) - I found that I have AS, which was bothering me since 2013, I researched and focussed on my diet(reducing protein and starch), and my weight reduced to 53kgs and then further reduced to 49kg.
Looking for diet/food which can help in increasing weight. I am a vegetarian.
Other issues that I have are
1. Low HDL
2. Low Vitamin D - I started doctor prescribed supplements.
What can I eat that can help me to increase my weight without triggering inflammation?
I am also suffering from the same health condition.. Doctor has put me on medication but still I hv pain and stiffness..all the tests mentioned in the case study are valid here also in India?

100%, and always true. Food > Medicine of any kind.
Very insightful! It is fascinating how gut health is so important in your overall health.
